Tour Type

How many people are there on each tour?

iWander Tasmania restricts each tour to 11 to 20 people which includes the driver/guide and on some tours an additional guide.

What level of fitness is required to join an average tour?

A basic level of fitness is all that is needed to enjoy an iWander tour. There isn’t anything demanding but each tour will require some walking, from the bus to the beach, or 30 metres above the trees at the Tahune Airwalk.

Can the vehicle stop randomly for photos?

iWander Tasmania tours are flexible and may stop upon request, or go off the beaten track if required.

Will you do private tour?

Yes, we do. Please contact us with your needs, and we will get back to you ASAP 🙂

Pickups/Drop offs

How does this work?

We are able to pick you up from most locations within the central Hobart area. Pick up time will fall between 7:35am to 7:50am. you will be contacted a day before the travel date to confirm the pickup time and location.

What if my hotel is not in hobart CBD?

If guests are not staying in Central Hobart, they will need to make their way to our meeting point – 20 Davey Street, Hobart, TAS 7000.

How do I know my pick up time?

We will contact you prior to your departure date with an exact pick up time and location. This may be as late as a day or two prior to your travel date as we receive late booking cancellations and hotel changes which can alter your pick up time.

Can children take tours and what is the age range?

Yes, children aged from 0-16 are welcome to join tours at a discounted rate.

Do you provide car seat for younger children?

Yes, car seats are available.

Cruise Ship

Will you pick up & drop off at the dock?

Yes, we pick up and drop off from Hobart’s cruise terminal.

Can cruise ship guest join Falls & Devils-Mt Field tour?

Cruise ship guests can join any day tour as long as the ship is in port for long enough. Some days we get enough interest from cruise guests to open a shorter day tour. E.g Falls and Devils tour from 8:00am till 4:30pm or 9:00am till 6:00pm

Buses/vans

What types of vehicles are used?

We use a Mercedes Benz Sprinter (2017) and a Toyota HiAce Commuter (2014) for most tours. Under some circumstances (car service/repair, large group booking etc, we hire vehicles.

Payment

What is the cancellation policy?

iWander Tasmania recommend you have travel insurance that covers cancellation costs.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancelling 24 hours prior to a your departure date you will receive a full refund.

What are the payment options?

You can pay by debit card or credit card on our website or directly with us over the phone. We offer Paypal and Stripe.

Accommodation and food

What accommodation is provided?

iWander Tasmania provides the service of booking a range of hostel/hotel options.

Are meals included with tours?

Only some accommodation packages provide breakfast. Some tours do have local produce tasting (read tour inclusions). We do stop frequently on most tours and food, drinks and toilets are easily accessible.

Luggage

What should I bring?

Backpacks and handbags with hats, cameras, sun cream, and snacks etc are ideal for iWander tours.

Can I take luggage?

You can only store luggage on the bus if your flight is booked for 8:00pm or after on the day of your tour. iWander takes no responsibility for personal belongings left on the bus. Leave a message if you have any queries or special requirements.
